Dutch Oven Masterclass

A comprehensive course covering the amazing versatility of the Dutch Oven

This hands on practical course will cover the myriad of ways in which cast iron pots or Dutch ovens can be used to cook and prepare food.

We will look at how to use them to bake, boil, roast and fry. In addition we will show how they can be used in ground ovens, as slow cookers and ice cream makers.

We will give you tips and recommendations on what makes a good Dutch Oven and show you how to season them as well as clean and maintain them.

The course commences at 9.30 am and will finish at approximately 4.30 pm.

The course is held in an open barn so we have overhead protection from the elements but you will still need to wear appropriate clothing for the time of year.

Toilet and hand washing facilities are available on site and there is off road parking.

Refreshments are provided throughout the day and lunch is included. The course will end with a three course meal. Please let us know of any dietary requirements in advance.
